Refund Policy
Last updated:
We want you to pay for GigCal only if it is genuinely useful to you. That is why everyone starts with a 30-day free trial — and if something still goes wrong, here is when and how you can get your money back. This policy forms part of the Terms of Use.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to all paid GigCal subscriptions: the band subscription, the individual subscription and the widget add-on, whether paid monthly or yearly. The service provider is [[NAZIV FIRME]], [[ADRESA]] (see the Terms of Use).
How a refund is handled depends on how you paid: by bank transfer directly to us (section 3), by card through Paddle once that option is available (section 4), or through an app store (section 5).
2. Free trial — no risk
Every new account and every new band gets a 30-day free trial with all features, with no card and no obligation whatsoever. The trial does not convert into a paid subscription automatically — if you do not pay, you simply move to view-only mode (your data stays, changes are locked). We recommend using the trial to check whether GigCal suits you before paying.
3. Bank-transfer payments (IPS QR) — current payment method
When you pay for a subscription by bank transfer (a standard payment slip or the IPS QR code from the app) and we activate it manually, the following applies:
3.1. Full refund within 14 days
You can request a full refund within 14 days of the payment date if you have not substantially used the service after activation — e.g. you have not added new gigs, enabled a public profile or the widget, or sent invitations in the Network. If you changed your mind, just let us know; we do not ask for a reason.
3.2. Pro-rata refund for a technical fault
If, due to a fault on our side, the service was unavailable or a key feature did not work for more than 48 consecutive hours (or more than 5 days in total within a month), and you reported the problem to us, you are entitled to a pro-rata refund for the period the service did not work, or — at your choice — an extension of the subscription by the same period. This does not cover planned maintenance announced in advance, outages at your internet provider, or problems caused by your device.
3.3. When a refund is not possible
- after 14 days from payment, unless it is a technical fault under 3.2;
- for a period you have already used (e.g. after 3 months of a yearly subscription you may only claim the remaining part, and only for the reasons in 3.2 or if we discontinue the service);
- if the account was terminated for violating the Terms of Use;
- for the value of a promo code or discount — only the amount actually paid is refunded.
3.4. How the refund is made
- You send the request by email (section 8). We respond within 5 business days at the latest.
- We refund to the same bank account the payment came from; if that is not possible, to the account you specify in the request (in Serbia in RSD). Bank fees for the original payment cannot be refunded.
- We return the money within 14 days of approving the request at the latest; banks usually complete the transfer within 1–3 business days.
- For payments from abroad in EUR the refund goes to the account the payment came from; each party bears the international transfer fees charged by its own bank.
4. When card payments are enabled (Paddle)
When card payment becomes available in the app, it will be processed through Paddle:
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- For purchases through Paddle a 14-day period from purchase applies for refund requests, in line with Paddle's refund policy and buyer terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms).
- You can submit the request directly to Paddle (via the link in the email receipt Paddle sends you, or at paddle.net) or to us at [[EMAIL]] — we will forward it to Paddle and confirm. The refund is executed by Paddle, to the same payment method used for the purchase, as a rule within 5–10 business days of approval.
- The criteria in section 3 (non-use after activation, technical fault) apply here as well. Paddle, as Merchant of Record, may refuse a refund in case of abuse (e.g. repeated refund requests after full use of the service).
- Automatic renewal: a subscription paid by card renews automatically. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before the renewal date — in the app or with Paddle. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. If you forgot to cancel and have not used the service in the new period, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it.
5. Purchases through the App Store and Google Play
If you bought the subscription inside the iOS or Android app (when and if that option is available), refunds are handled by the store under its own rules — we are technically unable to refund those purchases:
- Apple App Store: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play: request a refund in Google Play (Order history → Request a refund) or via the Google Play help page.
We are happy to help and explain the procedure — just write to us.
6. What happens to the subscription after a refund
Once a refund is approved, the subscription is cancelled or reverted to its previous expiry date, and the account/band moves to view-only mode: data remains, changes are locked until a subscription is activated again. Data is never deleted because of a refund. For a pro-rata refund of part of a period, the subscription remains active until the new, shortened expiry date.
7. Your statutory rights as a consumer
This policy does not reduce the rights you have under mandatory law. If you are a consumer in the Republic of Serbia (a natural person using the service outside your business activity), under the Consumer Protection Act you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason, unless the service has been fully performed with your prior express consent; if performance began at your request before the period expired, you owe a proportional amount for what was performed. If you are a consumer in the EU, the corresponding rights under Directive 2011/83/EU apply. Our commercial policy in sections 3 and 4 is in practice the same or more favourable; if in any case it is not, whatever is more favourable to you applies. Bands paying the subscription as a legal entity or sole trader are not consumers, but we apply the same deadlines from this policy to them.
8. How to submit a request and contact
Send your refund request from the email address the account is registered to, to [[EMAIL]], with the subject "Refund" and the following details:
- band name or user name and the account email,
- payment reference or the date and amount of the payment (for Paddle: the order number from the receipt),
- the reason (optional, but it helps us improve),
- the bank account number for the refund if different from the one the payment came from.
We respond within 5 business days at the latest. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may turn to bodies for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes or to the courts, as described in the Terms of Use.
